My Pilgrimage
Hello! My name is Melody Elias. Welcome to “A Renewed Heart”.
I remember when I started questioning what was going on in the world and longing for TRUTH. All I could think about was “Is this all there is in our world? Chaos? Confusion? Insincerity? Disillusionment? No real love? Everyone appears to wear one type of “mask” in public and another one in private and still another mask hidden in the closet as back-up just in case somebody dropped by unexpectedly.
What I didn’t realize was that I was actually looking for God in all of the wrong places. Seriously, my continual pursuit in just worldly matters brought less peace and more heartbreak.
Eventually my search brought me to God through His Son, Jesus Christ-whose presence broke through my hardened heart. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.” (Ezekiel 36:26)
The good news is that we always have an opportunity (regardless of circumstances or obstacles), to renew our hearts because of God’s love for us through Jesus. Therefore, I invite you to share your journey with me (as I also go through mine) and ask God to give us A Renewed Heart. "Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed. Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)
